Your Capital are Your Fingers

When you start thinking about earning extra income you think about starting a small business and you know that starting a business means having capital. But you do not have extra money to use as capital for a business so how can you start earning the extra money? Here's how : you can start a blog, it is free and your capital are your fingers. If you know how to type then you can have a shot at earning extra income out of blogging. For those who have just started blogging, the idea of earning money out of it is somewhat difficult to comprehend. Most of us think that the only means of earning through your blog is through Adsense and Adbrite. Yes, people earn thousands of dollars a month from Adsense and Adbrite but these people own sites that have thousands of visitors every single day. So Adsense and Adbrite ads in a novice blogger's blog that could hardly fetch 30 hits a day would serve as decoration on the sidebars and not as income-generating machines. To tell you honestly, Adbrite and Adsense are of no use to novice bloggers like us. You can still earn a modest amount from them but it needs a lot of patience on your part. If you can wait at least one year before having your first $100 payout from Adsense or Adbrite, then add their banners and text links in your blog. I have added Adsense and Adbrite ads in my blogs and so far I am at the $40 mark with Adbrite and $25 with Adsense. I started blogging in March 2008. That was almost eight months ago. You can compute how much I earn from Adsense and Adbrite ads every month.

So it is clear that you can only hope to hit it big with Adsense and Adbrite when you are already a big blogger, but as of now that you are just starting out, your best bet is PayPerPost and SocialSpark. If your blog is at least 30 days old and updated at least three times a week, you have a good chance of earning your first $5 or $10 from PayPerPost. If your blog is at least three months old and you are not lazy, you have a 95% (just rough estimate) chance of earning good extra cash every month from SocialSpark.

What makes PayPerPost good for novice bloggers who want to earn extra cash? First, your blog could be as young as 30 days old but you can have the chance to earn from them. Second, your blog's PageRank could be zero but you can still get opportunities. Unlike other paid posting sites, you do not need to bid to be given the chance to have an opportunity, you just need to be there when an opportunity opens and you manage to get a slot. Once you click the "Reserve opportunity" button, that opp is yours and you have six hours to finish it. Most opportunities require 200-300 words and would fetch for you $5 to $15. Not bad for 15 minutes of typing. But young blogs and blogs without PageRank get less opportunities than blogs with PageRank. some or most opp (actually) are open to blogs with PageRank. When I joined PayPerPost my blog was only two months old and it has no PageRank. I made extra effort in getting opps. Extra effort means watching out for new opp openings, being logged in all the time at PPP and refreshing the page every now and then. If your blog has no PageRank, you can increase its chance of getting opps by buying a domain name for it. If your blog has a domain name, even if it has no pagerank, more opps will open for it because many advertisers require that blogs has a domain name. So you can compensate your lack of PR with a domain name. A domain name is very cheap, you can have one for as low as $6 a year. Yes as low as that. A domain name is one of the cheapests investments you can have. But it could get you a lot of money (I will have a separate post about how to invest and earn from buying and sellin domains). If you are planning to buy a domain, I have a post about it in my other blog that will help you choose the best for your blog, just click here to see it.

As to SocialSpark, I have to say that it could be the best money maker for novice bloggers. Just like PPP you do not need to bid for an opp, all you have to do is be there when new opps open and be quick to get the slot. If you are late and all the slots for an opp are taken, you can still have a chance to get it because there is a "wait for slot" button. You can even send a request to the advertiser and ask them to open an extra slot for you. If you can explain well why they should open an extra slot for you, then you can have it. It happened to me in SocialSpark, advertisers open another slot for me because I explain very well what benefits they would get if they allow me to write about them. If you can write a good request they would know that you can write a good review of their product so they will give you the opp.

That's it as of now, my post is getting too long. Next post would about how to earn extra money with affiliate programs. I would also be posting something about how to increase traffic on your blog. Anyway, if you want to get your first $$$ from PayPerPost, you can click on the button below and make a review of this post.

Online Money Matters

I have used the internet and I have known about blogs for many years but it was only during the first few months of this year that I became interested in earning money online. I started my first blog last February because of two reasons: first, I wanted to see if money could really come through it; second, I wanted to have a website of my own where I could make use of my writing. Back then the only way I knew about earning money online was through Google Adsense and Adbrite so I filled my blog with ads. After two months my blog averaged $0.02 a day in income. This was bad news. All the effort I exerted for two months only gave me that trickle. So I read a lot of books about how to make the most out of Adsense but to no avail. The highest that I got in daily earnings was $0.26 in one day. I realized that Adsense and Adbrite are for bloggers who get thousands of hits a day. New bloggers struggling to make it to at least 35 hits a day would have to find other means of making money online. Then I stumbled upon Berry Blog and there I learned about paid posts. It so happened that the author of this blog was very much open about sharing what she knew about it. He enthusiam in blogging and earning through it was infectious. I learned about SocialSpark and PayPerPost from her. I found out later that I came quiet late into this thing, PPP started two years earlier. Where was I when this thing started? Why haven't I heard about it when it first came out? Fortunately the blogs I submitted to PPP and SocialSpark were accepted and I started to really feel the dollars coming in. I enjoyed it a lot because I like writing about things that are of interest to me. Most of the paid post I did for SocialSpark happened to be in the area of my interests so it was easy writing for me. I was happy to type away 200 to 300 words in about 15 minutes and get $5 to $15 for it a month later. There were good days when I get three opportunities from SocialSpark and it fetched me $20. It was easy money. My earnings mostly came from SocialSpark. I soon discovered other paid to post sites like SponsoredReviews.com and BuyBlogReviews.com .

So I have proven to my self that a blogger could really harvest money from the net. I told my officemates about it but their ignorance got them. They did not believe what I was babbling about. They listen politely while I excitedly shared to them how I earned online but I saw it in their eyes that they did not believe me. They view the internet as a dangerous place to connect your credit card to. So I stopped telling them and enjoyed silently the money that came in every two weeks.

Now I am starting this blog to chronicle my journey deeper into the world of internet money harvesting. As of now I am exploring other online money making possibilities other than having paid posts. Every time I learn about a new way of earning money online I will post it here so that people like me would learn about it and earn their share too. If you are a very novice blogger I am sure that you already got something in this first post. I am sure that as soon as you finish reading this paragraph you will head directly to the links I have supplied above. Here's a tip: SocialSpark is best for newbies with blogs that are at least three months old. Your PageRank could be n/a or PR0 but still you would have a fair chance of snatching an opp from them and writing about it. Another tip: with PayPerpost and SponsoredReviews and BuyBlogReviews you will have an edge if your blog has a domain of its own, there are more opportunityies for blogs with own domain. I have posted an article about the best webhosting and domain name registrars in my other blog so you can read about it. Domain registration is very cheap, I both domain names for this blog and my other blog from 1and1.
